West Side Story

Hello world!Judging by the title of this post. (Up above) you might know what this is about. West Side Story!!!!!!!!!!

I'm doing that play in August. Have you ever heard of Romeo and Juliet?

I bet you have. West Side Story is just a modern version of Romeo and Juliet.

Instead of two different family's there's two different gangs.

The Jets and The Sharks.

The Jets are American

while

The Sharks are Puerto Rican.

I'm a Shark. The Sharks moved to New York City where the story takes place and there's a huge rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks. Then a boy from the Jets side, Tony, and a girl from the Sharks side, Maria, fall in love. They have all this trouble and a bunch of people die and the endings not exactly very happy but its a classic and the music is magnificent.

I have SO much to say!

WOW! I can't believe its only a month and a half until were back to the familiar routine of, packing our bags with books each morning, grabbing our lunches, and rushing out the door to hustle to school. I have had a spectacular summer so far! I took a plane to The windy city, my hometown, sweet home chicago! I had a week or two off and then I was back to waking up early and hopping in bed early too. I had to go to camp. Theatre camp. I was in the play "Grease" if you have not seen the movie with John Travolta and Olivia Newton John then you are getting in the car and driving to the nearest BlockBuster to rent the movie. RIGHT. NOW.Okkkk now that I'm finished with THAT. I got the part of Marty. She's a Pink lady. Who plays a MUCH bigger part in the play then she does in the movie. She's the one who dance's with Vince Fontaine at the big dance bash in the movie. In the play she has a solo. It's called "Freddy My Love" and it's a really fun little song. But it's also the one with the hardest melodies in the play. The notes just go up and down and all around. All over the place! Well that was sure one entertaining show to take part in! Greased Lighting was a blast with all the fake tires that we were throwing around. Well anywho. when that play was over I went wiith the same company (they do six productions a year. Three for the Junior group ages four thourgh about twelve depending. And three for the teen group(which I"m in) Their next show was "Moulin Rouge" I watched theb movie and was tottaly mind-blown.It was the best movie I have literally ever seen. No lie. Thats saying something. I learned a bunch of stunning choreography .Including One to, Poker Face, Hound Dog, Don't Stop Believen,I Love Rock N Roll, 4 Minutes , and not to mention the dance to Single Ladies. Those were not in the show but for fun. I'm gonna be in West Side Story soon too. Well thats almost it for now. Gotta Fly

Today I went to trampoline. And I climbed to the top of the rope today! YAY! Sounds boring doesn't it? Not something you would want to read about. I know, but I honestly have nothing else to talk about right now. well of I am am to see American Idol. Bye!

Hippies Rule!

Hello people! If you don't already know I am a total hippie. Like considering the clothes I wear most of the time. Once ( Some of my readers already know this story ) I was in a little town in Colorado and we found a tree in the middle of an alley way. So I picked it up and carried it ALL over the village. I carried the tree the whole way with no help at all. Well that's only because I refused any. But hey, I'm not complaining. We held a sign up that said " Honk To Save A Tree"

We got about 34 honks! I was beaming! I got into this hippie aroma when I did a play called "Flower Power" it was definitely one of my fave plays EVER!!! It was just so inspiring.

Well you know a little more about me. So there you go.
